The Good Person Test
What do I do next?
"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God--not by works, so that no one can boast." - Ephesians 2:8,9 (NIV)
If you have repented* and are trusting Jesus Christ to pay the penalty you owe for sin, and Jesus Christ alone, then...
Tell God what you think about what Jesus has done. That is called praying. There are no special words. Just say what is on your heart.
Read your Bible every day.
Just like food nourishes your body, God's word nourishes your soul.
If you do not have a Bible, we recommend the Christian Standard Version (CSV) There are many other good translations**, but for new Christians this is an easier translation to read.
Romans 8:1
"Therefore, no condemnation now exists for those in Christ Jesus."
Find a good church.
This can be somewhat difficult, because all churches claim to believe in Jesus Christ. They all claim to be Christ-centered and Bible-based.
To start there are some churches which are easily eliminated, such as: LDS (Mormons), Jehovah's Witnesess, Unitarian (any universal type church), and Christian Scientists. None of these are Christian. Why not? Because none believe in the Biblical Jesus Christ, but instead they have all created their own Jesus Christ.

Once you repent and start to trust Jesus for your salvation, nothing can take your salvation away. Romans 8:38-39 says: "For I am persuaded that not even death or life, angels or rulers, things present or things to come, hostile powers, height or depth, or any other created thing will have the power to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord!"
